We did Chemistry Assignment which was about Solar Photovoltaic and all I could think of was;
I want to have a house that has solar panel installed to them. Why? Don't you know we'll save a lot of energy by doing so? I mean, really. Its an investment that will you save your money and good for the future.

This is how it works:
The solar panel basically absorb sunlight to power the whole house. When we don't use all the power, the sunlight / photons will be stored and to be used at night. But then when the charged utility has more electricity than we us, the utility meter actually sends back electricity to your local utility grid.
That's basically it.
